Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2009 Ford Taurus X- Video
Today we are working on a 2009 Ford Taurus X. We will be installing wiring harness, part number 118448. Our first step is going to be gaining access to the rear compartment of the vehicle. Our next step is to then remove the rear threshold. Remove two pins on the lower side of the threshold. I have my cargo hooks up and out of the way, now we should be able to work the threshold trim piece off of the plastic fasteners that are holding it. Gently pry up on it, enough to release the fasteners. :39 more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2008 Ford Taurus X- Video
Today on this 2008 Ford Taurus X, we will be installing wiring harness part number 118448. We are inside the rear hatch of the Taurus. The connection points for our harness are going to be both on the drivers and passengers sides. Directly behind these panels. So we will start by removing this piece first. As you can see here at the bottom, we have got two push pin connectors here that we will need to remove first. We can kind of flip up the cargo hooks here. We should be able to gently rock this back and forth and we are going to try to release these clips here on the top side. It pops right off there. We also need to remove from each interior panel the two tie down hooks here for our cargo net. So we just want to get in there, and we can use a flathead screwdriver or pry tool and pry that back and you will hear the clips release. more
